Over its 17 years on the air, The Bachelor franchise has introduced audiences to some of the most endearing figures in reality television history. Despite the constant controversy, drama, and shocking twists and turns, the show has produced a number of fan-favorite couples that rose above it all and found happiness after the final roses were given out at the end of the show.
Though not all of these couples have decided to stay together in the end, many of them still value their experiences with one another and have even gone on to appear on other spin-off shows in the franchise like Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Pad, or Bachelor Winter Games. Here’s a count-down of fan favorite couples from the show that made us believe in true love!
Courtney Dober and Lily McManus (Split)
The only international couple on this list, Dober and McManus made acquaintance in the spin-off Bachelor Winter Games and immediately had a close connection! Though they did not win the competition, they made it to the finals and ended up spending more time together traveling the States after filming wrapped on the show.
Though they later decided to break up, Dober and McManus have remained on friendly terms with one another, taking to Instagram to post about their stronger than ever friendship.
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon (Together)
Ashley Iaconetti isn’t crying any more! After previously pursuing Jared Haibon on two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, the two finally ended up as a happy couple engaged.
In between stints on different Bachelor spin-offs (Bachelor Winter Games for Iaconetti and Australian Bachelor World for Haibon) the two became a couple in 2018. Their wedding is currently set for August 2019. Though the entire process took around three years, they both seem optimistic for the future!
Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper (Together)
Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper met on the first season of Bachelor in Paradise after appearing on Katelyn Bristowe and Chris Soules’ seasons respectively. They ended the show engaged, and Roper even moved to Kansas City to be with Tolbert.
Roper and Tolbert were married on a special Bachelor episode celebrating the show’s 20th season that aired in early 2016. Though tragedy struck the couple in the form of a miscarriage of their first child, the two went have to have a healthy daughter and are expecting a son this year!
Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum (Together)
Ashley Hebert may have started out with bad luck in the Bachelor-franchise, but she was able to redeem the experience in the end. After she was left heartbroken by Brad Womack, she luckily found a winner on her own season of The Bachelorette in J.P. Rosenbaum! The two married in 2014 and renewed their vows in 2018 in a beautiful ceremony in Aruba.
Hebert and Rosenbaum have welcomed a son, Fordham, and a daughter, Essex, into their family since their marriage. They are one of the longest lasting couples so far in the history of the Bachelor franchise!
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell (Split)
Though Ben Higgins initially proposed to flight attendant Lauren Bushnell on the 20th season of the reality series, the fan favorite couple didn’t end up working out in the end.
After the Bachelor ended, they received their own series on Freeform entitled Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? Though they didn’t break up on the show, Bushnell has revealed that filming the show was the first contribution to the end of their relationship. Higgins later appeared on spin-off Bachelor Winter Games, but he left after the third episode.
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers (Together)
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are still together, and still extremely happy! After they first met and became engaged on her season of The Bachelorette, the two have finally started to plan their wedding after three years.
The couple decided to take things a bit slower, but revealed that they decided on a 2019 date for their wedding. Rodgers and Fletcher have stated that they want a destination wedding with a “mini Chipotle bar” to serve burritos to guests, according to Entertainment Tonight. The two recently renovated an old 1950s home in Dallas and have since moved in to start the next chapter of their lives!
Carly Waddell and Evan Bass (Together)
Carly Waddell and Evan Bass definitely weren’t love at first sight, but that doesn’t seem to matter in the long run! Though Bass was initially extremely interested in Waddell from the get-go, she called their first kiss “the worse in the world.” However, after sharing each others’ company on a few dates on Bachelor in Paradise, Waddell came around.
Now, the two live in Nashville with their daughter Isabella and Bass’s three children from a previous relationship. They recently announced that they are expecting a second child together in November 2019!
Katelyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth (Split)
Katelyn Bristowe was part of a unique season of The Bachelorette that initially pitted two women against one another to win the title, based upon the male contestants’ votes. Luckily for her, Bristowe emerged victorious from this competition and ended up falling for Shawn Booth, whom she stayed with for three years after the show ended.
Though the couple proved to be happy on social media, they unfortunately decided to split. Bristowe later revealed to People that while their relationship was genuine, they were “not on the same page.” Though it proved an unfortunate end for the couple, it was definitely heartwarming for audiences to watch their budding love from the beginning on the show.
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici (Together)
Sean Lowe and Catherine Guidici are Bachelor-franchise history–they are the only couple to have married from the Bachelor! After their engagement on the show in 2012, they were married on a televised ceremony in 2014, in which Lowe’s father delivered the nuptials to the happy couple. Many other Bachelor couples, including J.P. and Ashley, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried, and Jason and Molly Mesnick attended the event.
The Lowe family has grown in recent years, as Catherine and Sean have had two sons named Samuel and Isaiah. They currently reside in Dallas, and shared their fifth anniversary together in January 2019.
Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter (Together)
These two are the OG Bachelor couple, and we couldn’t be happier for their success! After finishing as the runner-up on the first season of The Bachelor, Trista Sutter (née Rehn) went on to star in her own season of The Bachelorette, in which she chose Ryan Sutter as her winner.
The couple wed in 2003, and have been married ever since! Over their 16 years together, the Sutters have had two children, Blakesley and Maxwell, and reside Colorado. Neither one of the Sutters completely shied away from reality television after their storybook ending–in 2005, Trista appeared on the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars and Ryan appeared on Fear Factor.
Upon the announcement that Tubi, a streaming service, would have their old episodes available for viewing, Trista said, “I don’t know if we’ll necessarily pull up the Tubi app and have [our kids] watch my season of The Bachelorette…Their parents making out? No, we don’t need to be showing them that.”
